My take on Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect' became a "Six Strings Serenade." I wanted to give it a whole new vibe, something unexpected. So, I decided to rock it out, blending the gentle melody with the raw power of guitars, drums, and bass.
Turning 'Perfect' into a rock piece was unexpected, especially considering the original's mellow vibe. But that's the beauty of music, right? I wanted to shake things up and create a version that surprised people.
Believe it or not, I used a cheap Yamaha EG112c for this transformation. It's funny because that guitar has already found a new home, but back then, the magic wand helped me create the rock vibes for 'Perfect.'
Okay, here's a quirky one – I wore a jacket during the recording. Why? I once saw Joe Satriani rocking one during his live performance of 'Starry Night,' and I thought, "Why not?" It added a bit of coolness to the whole process.
While 'Six Strings Serenade' is a rock spectacle, some parts were carefully thought out. I wanted to retain the essence of the original melody while injecting a dose of electrifying energy. It was a delicate balance, but it worked out well.
The 'Perfect' rock rendition was not just about strumming chords and hitting drums but about having a good time and pushing boundaries. I enjoyed every moment of the process, and looking back, it was a darn good ride.
